Article 343 Quáter Federal Criminal Code

In the cases of family violence, equated family violence and violence through an intermediary person, the Public Prosecutor's Office (Ministerio Público) shall exhort the accused person to abstain from any conduct that could be offensive to the victim, shall order the preventive measures and shall request the precautionary measures that it considers pertinent to safeguard the physical or mental integrity of the victim and, shall request the protection orders established by the General Law on Women's Access to a Life Free of Violence.

The administrative authority shall supervise compliance with these measures in terms of the provisions of the applicable legislation.
