TITLE SIX. Special Jobs · CHAPTER VII. Public service handling work in areas under federal jurisdiction

Current text · last reform published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) on 14 May 2026

In collective employment contracts it may be stipulated that the employers pay a percentage on the wages, in order that a retirement or disability pension fund be constituted that is not a consequence of an occupational hazard. In the bylaws of the labor union or in a special regulation approved by the assembly, the requirements for the granting of the pensions shall be determined.

The corresponding amounts shall be delivered by the employers to the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and, in the event that it does not accept, to the banking institution indicated in the collective employment contract. The institution shall pay the pensions subject to approval by the court.
