The penalty and the security measure are extinguished, with all their effects, by compliance with them or with the sanctions for which they have been substituted or commuted. Likewise, the sanction that has been suspended shall be extinguished by compliance with the requirements established upon granting it, in the terms and within the legally applicable periods.
