If the injuries were inflicted in a brawl or in a duel, the penalties indicated in the preceding articles may be reduced by up to one half or up to five sixths, depending on whether it concerns the provoked party or the provoker, and taking into account the greater or lesser importance of the provocation and the provisions of articles 51 and 52.
