Article 424 Federal Criminal Code

Imprisonment of six months to six years and from three hundred to three thousand days fine shall be imposed:

I.On anyone who speculates in any form with the free textbooks distributed by the Ministry of Public Education (Secretaría de Educación Pública);

II.On the publisher, producer or recorder who knowingly produces more numbers of copies of a work protected by the Federal Copyright Law (Ley Federal del Derecho de Autor) than those authorized by the holder of the rights;

III.On anyone who intentionally uses, for profit and without the corresponding authorization, works protected by the Federal Copyright Law.

IV.Repealed.
