TITLE SEVEN. Collective Employment Relationships · CHAPTER II. Labor unions, federations and confederations

Current text · last reform published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) on 14 May 2026

Employees and employers, without any distinction and without prior authorization, have the right to constitute the organizations that they deem convenient, as well as to affiliate with them, with the sole condition of observing the statutes thereof.

The organizations of employees and of employers must enjoy adequate protection against every act of interference of some with respect to the others, whether it is carried out directly or through their representatives in their constitution, operation or administration.

Actions or measures tending to foster the constitution of organizations of employees dominated by an employer or an organization of employers, or to support in any form organizations of employees with the object of placing them under their control, are considered acts of interference. The benefits agreed in collective bargaining shall not be considered as acts of interference.

Any undue interference shall be sanctioned in the terms that the Law provides.
