TITLE TWO. Individual Employment Relationships · CHAPTER II. Duration of employment relationships
Current text · last reform published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) on 14 May 2026
The employment relationships for an indeterminate time shall be continuous as a general rule, but they may be agreed for discontinuous labors when the services required are for fixed and periodic labors of a discontinuous character, in the cases of activities of season or that do not require the provision of services all the week, the month or the year.
The employees who provide services under this modality have the same rights and obligations as the employees for an indeterminate time, in proportion to the time worked in each period.
