Article 493 Federal Labor Law

If the partial disability consists of the absolute loss of the faculties or aptitudes of the employee to perform his profession, the court may increase the compensation (indemnity) up to the amount of that which would correspond for permanent total disability, taking into consideration the importance of the profession and the possibility of performing one of similar category, susceptible of producing similar income for him.
