Article 86 Federal Labor Law

To equal work, performed in a position, working day and conditions of efficiency also equal, there must correspond an equal wage; in compliance with the obligations of the State to reduce the gender wage gap, actions shall be promoted to eradicate unequal remuneration practices in accordance with the provisions of the General Law for Equality between Women and Men (Ley General para la Igualdad entre Mujeres y Hombres).
