Article 937 Federal Labor Law

TITLE FOURTEEN. Labor Procedural Law · CHAPTER XX. Strike Procedure

Current text · last reform published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) on 14 May 2026

If the conflict that is the motive of the strike is submitted by the employees or by the employer to the decision of the Court, the ordinary proceeding or the proceeding for collective conflicts of an economic nature shall be followed, as the case may be. The employer may only exercise this right in the event that the strike extends for more than sixty days.

If the Court declares in the judgment that the motives of the strike are imputable to the employer, it shall condemn the latter to the satisfaction of the requests of the employees insofar as they are pertinent, and to the payment of the wages corresponding to the days that the strike may have lasted. In no case shall the employer be condemned to the payment of the wages of the employees who may have declared a strike in the terms of Article 450, section VI of this Law.
