Article 13 Political Constitution of the United Mexican States
First Title · Chapter I. On Human Rights and Their Guarantees
Current text · last reform published in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF) on 2 June 2026
No one may be judged by private laws nor by special courts. No person or corporation may have immunity from prosecution (fuero), nor enjoy more emoluments than those that are compensation for public services and are fixed by the law. The fuero of war subsists for the crimes and offenses against military discipline; but the military courts may in no case and for no reason extend their jurisdiction over persons who do not belong to the Army, Air Force, Navy and National Guard (Guardia Nacional). When in a crime or offense of the military order a civilian is involved, the corresponding civil authority shall hear the case.
