Article 39 Federal Criminal Code

The adjudicator, taking into account the amount of the damage and the economic situation of the obliged person, may fix terms for the payment of the reparation of the former, which in their entirety shall not exceed one year, being able for this to require a guarantee if he considers it convenient.

The authority to which the collection of the fine corresponds may fix terms for the payment of the latter, taking into account the circumstances of the case.
