Article 46 Federal Criminal Code

The prison sentence produces the suspension of the political rights and those of guardianship, curatorship, being an agent, defender, executor, expert, depositary or judicial intervener, trustee or receiver in bankruptcies, arbitrator, arbiter or representative of absent persons. The suspension shall begin from the moment that the respective judgment (sentencia) becomes final and shall last the entire time of the conviction.
