When lease contracts exist, the owner of the land is jointly and severally liable with the lessee, if the latter does not have sufficient own resources to fulfill the obligations arising from the relationships with their employees.
If sharecropping contracts exist, the owner of the land and the sharecropper shall be jointly and severally liable.
