Article 547 Federal Labor Law

The following are special causes of responsibility of the male and female Labor Inspectors:

I.Not to carry out the inspections referred to in article 542, sections II and III;

II.To record false facts in the minutes they record;

III.The violation of the prohibitions referred to in article 544;

IV.To receive directly or indirectly any gift from the employees or from the employers;

V.Not to comply with the orders received from their hierarchical superior; and

VI.Not to report before the Public Prosecutor's Office (Ministerio Público), the employer of an industrial, field-work, mining, commercial or services establishment that omits the payment or has ceased to pay the general minimum wage to a field employee in its service.
