Article 549 Federal Labor Law
TITLE ELEVEN. Labor Authorities and Social Services · CHAPTER V. Labor inspection

In the imposition of the sanctions the following standards shall be observed:
I.The General Director shall conduct an investigation with a hearing of the interested party;
II.The General Director may impose the sanctions indicated in the preceding article, sections I and II; and
III.When in the judgment of the General Director the applicable sanction is removal from office, he shall report to the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare, to the Governor of the State or Territory or to the Head of Government of Mexico City, for their decision.
